Remembering Pope Francis

As we join together in mourning the passing of Pope Francis, we find ourselves reflecting on the profound honor bestowed upon Lawrence Hoy Studios a decade ago, when we were invited to contribute to the papal Mass for The World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia on September 27, 2015. For this momentous occasion we created the ten-foot tall, gilded and hand-carved crucifix suspended in radiant beauty above Pope Francis, forming the backdrop to the Mass.
