Basilica Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal

When the Miraculous Medal Shrine in Philadelphia received the exciting news of its elevation to Basilica in January 2023, Father Tim Lyons commissioned Lawrence Hoy Studios to create a new Presider’s Chair worthy of its new status. The chair is made from white marble and wood with carved and gilded decorative elements and is designed to complement the church’s Romanesque architecture and marble furnishings. The chair was installed in the Basilica in time for the dedication on April 27, 2023.
