St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church, Parish of the Visitation

St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church is a richly decorated traditional interior with murals and intricate stenciling throughout. Water damage and poorly designed renovations through the years left the church looking very sad and in dire need of restoration. The team at Lawrence Hoy Studios carefully cleaned and restored the murals, completely re-building parts of the walls and ceiling that had begun to fall down from above. The original decorative stenciling in the sanctuary had also been overpainted with light blue paint and we are currently in the process of carefully removing that paint to reveal the beauty of the historic polychromed and gilded apse walls beneath.
