St. Helena Church
Edison, NJ
St. Helena Church was built in the 1950’s and had “good bones” but the sanctuary did not live up to the quality of the building itself. Lawrence Hoy Studios was called in by the pastor, Fr. Anthony Sirianni to redesign it. Note the magnificent solid oak reredos behind the altar with hand-carved wood angels, and the two matching side altars, with the new painted wood statue of St. Joseph the Worker. These glorious pieces set the stage for a complete transformation of the Sanctuary. Lawrence Hoy Studios then repurposed the marble from their existing, outdated furnishings and redesigned it into a beautiful new altar, ambo, tabernacle throne and presider’s chair. A new Botticino marble floor finished off the sanctuary. We also added new decorative tile to the aisles and a new computerized LED lighting system throughout. A stunning renewal for St. Helena Church.
